You will work directly with stakeholders to understand challenges, identify opportunities for automation and digitalization, and turn ideas into intuitive, scalable applications.</p> <p>This is an opportunity to take ownership of greenfield software development, influence architectural decisions, and help shape how we build internal technology at Isar Aerospace.</p> <p>We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, moves quickly from concept to working software, and combines strong engineering fundamentals with a pragmatic, product-oriented mindset.</p> <p><br><strong>Your role in our Space Mission...</strong></p> <p><strong>Software Development & Architecture</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead the design, development, and deployment of modern internal applications and software platforms.</li> <li>Build scalable, maintainable full-stack solutions, including frontend interfaces, backend services, APIs, and databases.</li> <li>Take technical ownership of applications from initial concept and prototyping through production deployment and ongoing evolution.</li> <li>Define and implement software architecture, data models, integration patterns, and development standards.</li> <li>Ensure solutions meet appropriate requirements for performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.</li> <li>Establish engineering best practices, including automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and documentation.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Product Development & Innovation</strong></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate directly with stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and business teams to identify opportunities for software-driven improvements.</li> <li>Translate complex operational requirements into intuitive, user-friendly applications.</li> <li>Rapidly prototype new ideas, validate solutions with end users, and iterate based on feedback.</li> <li>Develop applications that streamline workflows, improve data accessibility, increase transparency, and reduce manual processes.</li> <li>Identify opportunities to replace fragmented tools, spreadsheets, and manual workflows with integrated software solutions.</li> <li>Balance rapid delivery of business value with sound long-term technical decisions.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Systems Integration & Data</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design and implement integrations between internally developed applications, enterprise software, and engineering systems.</li> <li>Develop robust APIs and data services to enable interoperability across the organization.</li> <li>Work with relational databases, structured and unstructured data, and modern data management approaches.</li> <li>Collaborate with enterprise systems and data engineering teams to ensure applications integrate effectively into the broader technology landscape.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Technical Leadership & AI-Assisted Development</strong></p> <ul> <li>Act as a technical leader, setting engineering direction and guiding architectural decisions.</li> <li>Champion modern software development approaches, including AI-assisted coding and agentic development tools.</li> <li>Use technologies such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or OpenAI Codex to accelerate prototyping, development, testing, and documentation where appropriate.</li> <li>Evaluate emerging technologies and development approaches, selecting tools based on practical business value.</li> <li>Contribute to the growth of internal software engineering capabilities, including mentoring future team members.</li> <li>Foster a culture of ownership, experimentation, continuous improvement, and high-quality engineering.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you´ll need to thrive...</strong></p> <ul> <li>8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial hands-on full-stack development.</li> <li>Strong proficiency in modern frontend development using TypeScript/JavaScript and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.</li> <li>Experience developing backend applications and APIs using Python, <a href="http://node.js/">Node.js</a>, Java, C#, or comparable technologies.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server, including data modeling and query optimization.</li> <li>Experience designing and delivering production applications, including authentication, authorization, testing, deployment, and monitoring.</li> <li>Solid understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and application integration patterns.</li> <li>Experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to independently take an idea from requirements through implementation and deployment.&
