Privacy policy

1. Data we collect

• Account and profile: name, email, phone, location, education, skills, work history, résumé and video résumé.
• Academic records: branch, batch, CGPA, 10th / 12th marks and backlogs, entered by you or your college.
• Activity: test answers and scores, Career Points, mock interview answers and feedback, English test recordings and results, course progress, job applications and drive registrations.
• Proctoring: during proctored tests, full-screen and tab events and, where enabled, periodic webcam snapshots.
• Payments: order and payment IDs and amounts. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by Razorpay; we never see or store them.
• Technical: device, browser and log data needed to run and secure the service.

2. Why we use it

• To run your account and the features you use: tests, scoring, AI feedback, job matching and placement drives.
• To show your profile, Career Points and verified skills to recruiters (you can hide your profile from talent search in My Profile) and to your college if you are linked to one.
• To process payments, issue invoices and prevent fraud.
• To send service messages (drive alerts, results, receipts) and, where you agree, updates about jobs and courses.

3. Who we share it with

• Recruiters: profile, points and verified skills when your profile is visible; contact details only after you apply to their job.
• Your college: your academics, readiness, points and drive outcomes, if your account is linked to the college.
• Service providers who process data for us: hosting and database, email delivery, Razorpay (payments) and our AI service provider (AI feedback and content generation). They may only use it to provide their service to us.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell personal data.

4. How long we keep it

We keep data while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we erase or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as invoices and tax records.

5. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or erase your data, withdraw consent, and nominate someone to exercise your rights. Most profile data can be edited in My Profile. For anything else, write to us. Candidates under 18 need a parent or guardian's consent.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, payment keys and secrets are stored encrypted, and staff access is limited by role and recorded in an audit log.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure. We do not use advertising cookies.

8. Grievance officer

For privacy questions or complaints, write to our Grievance Officer at support@99learn.com. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India. See also our Terms of use.
